Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about Graiden.

Does Graiden track PayNow, PayLah! and hawker payments?
Yes. DBS/POSB, UOB and OCBC email an alert for each PayNow transfer, and PayLah! emails one for every scan-and-pay at a hawker stall or shop. Forward those alerts and each payment is logged, however small; turn on alerts for every amount in your bank app first. In the 60 days to 30 October 2026, Graiden logged over 4,500 PayNow payments for its users, nearly 2,000 of them under S$10. Cash is the exception: add cash purchases by hand.
Does Graiden work on iPhone?
Yes, as a web app rather than an App Store download. Open app.graiden.xyz in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen, and it opens full screen like any other app. On iPhone, Pro also includes an Apple Pay Shortcut that logs each Apple Pay tap. On Android, Graiden is on Google Play. Your account and data are the same everywhere you sign in.
How is my data protected, and what happens if I leave?
Graiden never asks for your bank login, so it can't move money or see your balances. Your transactions are stored in Supabase's cloud database, encrypted in transit and at rest. The text of forwarded emails is deleted automatically within 3 days; only the purchase details (amount, merchant, date and category) are kept. To pull those details out, the email text is read by AI providers (OpenAI and TypeSafe). You can export everything as a CSV from Settings at any time, and delete your account and all its data from Settings, then Account, then Delete Account. Questions go to support@graiden.xyz.
How long has Graiden been running, and how many people use it?
Graiden has been logging purchases since September 2025. By 30 October 2026 it had logged over 250,000 purchases for more than 1,100 people, mostly in Singapore.
How does Graiden track my transactions?
Graiden works by processing emails you forward to your unique Graiden address. Just set up auto-forwarding or manually send your transaction-related emails to us, and we'll handle the rest. No account linking required.
How do I know if my forwarding is set up correctly?

Check if the email is visible under the "Recent Emails" section in Graiden. If you can see your forwarded emails there, your setup is working correctly.

Can it track my Google/Apple Pay transactions?

Graiden works by you forwarding your emails. It doesn't matter what payment method you use, as long as there are email receipts and they are properly forwarded, it would work. This includes Google Pay, Apple Pay, and any other digital payment methods that send email confirmations.

I'm not receiving emails from my bank for transactions

Some emails (e.g. DBS/UOB) have a threshold limit for when notifications are sent. Your transaction might be below the threshold. You would have to lower it for emails to be properly sent.

What email providers does Graiden support?
Graiden works with any email providers. As long as you can forward emails, manually or via auto-forwarding, you can use Graiden.
Can I cancel my subscription anytime?
Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time. You'll retain access to your dashboard and insights until the end of your current billing period.
Can I export my financial data?
Yes! You can export your transaction data anytime in CSV format, so it's easy to analyze or import into your favorite finance tools.

What Graiden doesn't do

The limits, so you know before you set it up.

Does Graiden have a WhatsApp or Telegram bot?
No. There's no chat bot to text your spending to, and Graiden doesn't read SMS alerts. Purchases get into Graiden in three ways: emails you forward to your Graiden address, the Apple Pay Shortcut on iPhone (Pro), or adding them by hand in the app.
Does Graiden connect to my bank account?
No, on any plan. Graiden never asks for your bank login and doesn't use Plaid, Salt Edge or any other bank-sync service. It only sees what arrives by email, so a purchase that doesn't send an alert or receipt (cash, or a card payment below your bank's alert threshold) won't appear until you add it yourself.
Can Graiden scan a paper receipt or a screenshot?
No. Graiden doesn't read photos or screenshots, and it skips PDF attachments on forwarded emails. It reads the text of the email itself. For a paper receipt or a cash purchase, add it by hand; it takes a few seconds.
Is there a lifetime or one-time Graiden plan?
No. Graiden Pro is a subscription: US$24.99 a year or US$2.99 a month, with a free plan if you'd rather not pay. There is no lifetime or one-off purchase.
Does Graiden track investments, net worth or account balances?
No. Graiden is a spending tracker. It doesn't show bank or card balances, investments, loans, credit scores or bill due dates. If you need those, a bank-synced app such as Dobin covers more of it.
Can I share Graiden with my partner or household?
No. Each Graiden account belongs to one person, with its own forwarding address, budgets and history. There are no shared budgets or joint household accounts.
